Metrostars owner Montgomery Burns has confirmed that the Metrostars will be competing with Man City over the signature of Brazillian superstar Kaka. And while City attempt to break the bank with a £100m bid, the Metrostars are set to break their own transfer record with a staggering bid of 14 dollars.
Rafael Benitez has launched yet another vicious verbal attack today. The Liverpool manager began by berating Man United manager Alex Ferguson and then continued to voice his outrage David Gill a few days later, leading to Sir Alex labelling Rafa as 'disturbed'. It seems the Spaniard is still not done expressing his feelings, venting his frustrations on the Metrostars this time.
Benitez has been quoted as saying "who? the Metrostars? I've never heard of them.."
FourFourTwo magazine have released their Top 20 Club Owners Rich List for 2009 and while Sheikh Mansour of Man City heads the list, Metrostars owner Montgomery Burns has been placed above Roman Abramovic in third.
Update: Forbes magazine's latest rich list disagrees with FourFourTwo, estimating Monty Burns' fortune at a mere US$996m (£658m). This would place him 17th on FourFourTwo's list.
