Boy Zamail completed an emotional return to Mumong last week as his season-long loan officially turned into a permanent deal. Boy Z made his official debut against Rio and impressed in central midfield. He will wear the vacant number 28 jersey and is the Metrostars' sole summer signing.

Welcome to the start of another exciting season! I'm John Dykes and today, we have our two experts Abbas Saad and Steve McMahon discuss how the Metrostars should line up in their season opener, an 11-a-side game against Fairley 4, to give them the best chance of winning.

Well, I'm sticking with a what works at the back. This back four performed well in the last 11-a-side game, they've played together for many many years now and they have a good understanding. Naz and Isz are the engine of the team, look for the captain to run non-stop for 90 minutes. Sepol, Mohamad and Wafi are involved in most of their goals so they should provide plenty of ammunition for target man Khairul or Ripeen.

I've gone with an alternative line-up than Abbas'. Its a more traditional 4-4-2 with Gigz in goal. The Zamris will push up to give them width because Harmoney and Haz (or Razley) will always be looking to come infield. I'm relying on the M-brothers to provide protection for Syarul and Deddy, but Muhd M is also expected to provide the killer passes for the front two. Auni will be the target man with Amin or Alai acting as supporting striker

To wrap up the individual awards, Wafi's winning goal against G17 has been voted the goal of the season, earning 45% of the votes. The forward swiveled and shuffled past three players before placing past the keeper to score the winning goal AND seal his hat-trick.
